From rugby pitches to frame adjustments, I’ve never been one to sit still.
A former member of the Scotland Under 19s Rugby League squad, I’ve carried my love of sport—rugby, cricket, Formula 1—into every aspect of life. Whether I’m sweating it out at the gym, hiking up a trail, or fine-tuning a tricky lens design, I’m always up for a challenge.
I’ve travelled far and wide — Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Southeast Asia, collecting stories, spices, and recipes along the way. A self-confessed foodie, I’m just as happy whipping up a feast in the kitchen as I am eating it (maybe more so).
Practical by nature, I’ve done everything from bar work and concreting to optics, qualifying as a Dispensing Optician in 2023. I take pride in getting hands-on to solve problems and make things work, whether it’s fitting a tricky frame or personalizing your lenses.
I like to think I can dance, but my partner insists otherwise (something about two left feet). Still, that won’t stop me from giving it a go because life’s better when you throw yourself into it.
